| Description |
The Sioux Falls City Council consists of eight elected members, who each
serve a four-year term of office. Five of the members are elected from one
of the five respective Council districts ie., the Central, Northeast, Northwest,
Southeast, and Southwest districts. Additionally, there are three At-Large
Councillors, one of whom is elected the same year as the regularly scheduled
U.S. presidential election, while the other two are elected the same year as
the regularly scheduled gubernatorial election.
