Rainey; reelected to the Sixty-ninth, Seventieth, and Seventy-first Congresses and served from November 6, 1923, to March 3, 1931; was not a candidate for renomination in 1930; in 1931 again became a member of the Chicago city council and served until his death in Chicago, Ill., January 29, 1935; interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery
