| Info | Morrison Shafroth (1888-1978) graduated from the University of Michigan in 1910. In 1911, he partnered in the law firm, Rogers, Shafroth and Rogers. From 1917-1919, he served in the 341st Field Artillery and fought in World War I. After his service, he practiced law independently until 1927, when he formed a law partnership with W.W. Grant, Henry W. Toll and Earl H. Ellis. Morrison Shafroth was nominated for several offices such as Attorney General for Colorado and the U.S. Senate but was defeated in the elections. He served as Chief Counsel for the U.S. Bureau of Internal Revenue from 1936-1937. He was also appointed to the Attorney General's National Committee to Study Anti-trust Laws in 1953. Morrison Shafroth taught at the University of Denver Law School and served on several boards at the University.
Morrison Shafroth married Abby Comstock Hagerman in 1917. They had four children, Virginia (Mrs. James Quigg Newton), Ellen (Mrs. William Dean Embree, Jr.), John Franklin and Frank.
