Williams, a Democrat, represents part of Johnson County (District 121) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Rep. Williams is a real estate broker and served as the Johnson County Tax Collector from 1975-1993.

Rep. Williams is co-coordinator of the student legislative program and president of the Women Legislators of Missouri. She is a member of the RLDS Church, Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, Whiteman Air Force Base Community Council, Citizens for a Drug-Free Environment Inc., Business and Professional Women's Club, AAUW, Phi Kappa Phi, Rotary Club and board of directors for UMB-Warrensburg. Rep. Williams is a member of the Missouri Democratic State Committee and past president of both the Women's Democratic Club of Johnson County and Fourth District Women's Democratic Club. She also was a delegate to the National Democratic Convention in 1988.

A 1953 graduate of Warrensburg High School, Rep. Williams received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Central Missouri State University in 1984.

Born August 21, 1935, in Caraway, Arkansas, Rep. Williams currently resides in Warrensburg with her husband Ernest. She has two sons, David and Drew Parmley and two grandchildren: Gretchen and Jacob.
