Info | Bob Hans has been a resident in Surrey for 25 years. Born in the village of Bazidke, in the district of Sangrur in Punjab, India, he came to Canada with his family in 1980 when he was 17.
Bob is the founder of the Hans Group, a collection of small businesses that operate across British Columbia. The Hans Group includes mining, quarry and extraction operations, sand and gravel supplies, gravel trucking, a landscaping depot and a commercial property holding company.
His companies have participated in some of the most visible projects contributing to British Columbia’s economic growth, including the Coquihalla Highway, Highway 91 and Alaska Highway projects, Gateway Skytrain & Station Tower and the Concord Pacific development in downtown Vancouver.
A member of the Surrey, Greater Langley and Cloverdale Chambers of Commerce, Bob is a member of the B.C. Trucking Association, the Aggregate Producers Association of B.C., the B.C. Bob is happily married to Kulvir Kaur Hans with two children, Karanpal (Kevin) and Gurvir, who attend public schools in Surrey.
