Info | Malcolm grew up on a farm in the Ottawa Valley, the daughter of Dutch immigrants and eldest girl of a family of six. When she was 18, she left home to go to university, against her parents' wishes. After a rocky ten years, she found herself in Vancouver where she has lived ever since. Education is an issue dear to her, and higher education which excludes a majority of the population is not, in her opinion, valuable to society, culture or the legacy of humanity.
Malcolm works as a web developer and writer. The company she works for "Connects People to Communities and Communities to Values." She has been active in non-profit and activist groups most of her life, for example: SAW Video Co-op, /Women's News/ (feminist newspaper), Houseworks (woman focused) Gallery, and the LeBreton Flats Protest (similar to the Woodwards Squat) in Ottawa, and Indymedia, ICTV, the Marginalized Workers' Action League and of course, the Work Less Party, here in Vancouver.
Malcolm has a B.A. in English and attended art school in Integrated Media.
