InfoI'm Stephen Payne in the north Cariboo riding I was born in Galt Ontario on Jan 9 1970.

In London Ontario I worked in support of and rallied for Marc Emery in his fight for Freedom of speech, protested on his behalf in front of the Toronto court I later worked at HempBC in Vancouver for a time.

Friends, I'm thrilled at the opportunity to affect a change for the better. I'm off and running. You see I feel that there's no greater bond between a citizen and his country that of trust. Trust in that the government protect our rights and freedoms and to pursue happiness.

I'm running because I see my running as an opportunity to act on my beliefs.

Naturally I echo some of the obvious concerns as most Canadians, I too want better health Care, more and better schools etc. However I believe legalizing marijuana and hemp is a long term realistic solution to increasing and creating new revenue. Also needing the hemp industry to replenish our environments and stimulate creation of nearly 35,000 possible items, creating new economy stimulation and jobs etc...

A truly democratic people cannot stand idly by while injustices are perpetrated on any of it's citizens.. Families and lives are torn apart by this unjust criminalization of a purely social and personal choice is ultimately the cause of inhumane treatment of these Victims, and so we will not rest until all the P.O.W.'s of the drug war are released...
