Info | During a career in management and public affairs that spanned more than 30 years with PECO Energy, Commissioner Martin also was involved in civic and community affairs. He is a past member of the Upper Southampton Board of Supervisors and served four terms as chairman. Following his retirement from PECO Energy, he was appointed to the Bucks County Board of Commissioners in 1995 and elected to four-year terms in November 1995 and 1999 and 2003. He was chairman of the board of commissioners in 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2001 and is the current chairman for 2004.
Commissioner Martin is a past president of the Bucks County Association of Township Officials and current member of the board of directors of SEPTA, the Bucks County Transportation Management Association (TMA), and the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania. He also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bucks County Hero Scholarship Fund, a member of the board of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and serves on the board of the Bucks County Parks Preservation Foundation. In addition, Commissioner Martin served from 1999-2003 on the board of directors of the Bucks County Conservation District.
