| Info | Fred has lived in south Edinburgh for 14 years and at his third attempt in 1999 was elected as Newington’s first Liberal Democrat councillor for over thirty years.
On the Council, he chairs the South Edinburgh Local Development Committee (LDC). The committee is one of six LDCs in the City and covers the same area as the Edinburgh South Scottish Parliament constituency which runs from Morningside to Moredun.
His main other involvement on the Council is a non executive director of the council’s property development company EDi Group.
From 2000 to 2003 Fred was the Transport Spokesperson of the Liberal Democrat opposition on the City Council. It is still an issue he follows closely.
