Info | Todd Caliguire is an attorney with the firm Fischer Weisinger Caliguire Porter & Pierce, where he focuses on corporate and commercial matters. He is also general counsel to Willmann Paper Company, Inc. In 1992, he was elected as a member of the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and was re-elected to a second three-year term in 1995. Freeholder Caliguire also serves as a member of the Bergen Pines County Hospital Board of Directors.
Mr. Caliguire is a graduate of Princeton University, where he recieved a bachelor's degree in engineering in 1977. he recieved both a law degree and a master's degree in business administration from New York University in 1981.
During the administration of former Governor Thomas H. Kean, Mr. Caliguire served as Assistant Legal Counsel to the Governor, and later as Counselor to the Governor, a senior policy advisory post.
As a Freeholder, Mr. Caliguire has focused on budgetary and transportation matters. He worked with municipal, county, and state officials to remove bus stops from the active lanes of heavily traveled Route 4, and has encouraged the Freeholder Board to expand its legislative role in setting county policy. In 1996, Caliguire sponored the resolution which authorized a countywide referendum on sharing municipal services, and worked to establish a Shared Services Task Force to implement the results of the referendum.
Mr. Caliguire is a life-long resident of Bergen County and was graduated from Tenafly High School in 1973. He, his wife Laurie, and their daughter Sarah Kate, live in Ridgewood.
