InfoFamily:
Married to Nicky with two sons William and James.

Background
Will has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts - Political Science and English Majors - from the University of Tasmania. He has a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania, as well as a Practitioner of the High Court of Australia.

His legal career has seen him practice both in Tasmania as well as the United Kingdom where he met his wife Nicky.

Will shows a great interest in sport and community services and currently serves as the President of the Southern Football League, as well as Chairman of the Rosny Children’s Choir. He has also been an honorary legal adviser to various community organisations.

In the 2002 State election, after an extremely successful campaign effort, Will was elected to the Tasmanian Parliament as the Liberal Member for Franklin.

Virtually immediately upon his election, he was also elected to the role of Deputy Liberal Leader and now sits along side his father, Michael Hodgman, in the Tasmanian House of Assembly.

His family history in politics obviously stands him in good stead - he is the fifth member of his family to be elected to State Parliament - his late grandfather Bill Hodgman was a long-serving member of the Legislative Council, his uncle Peter Hodgman was a former Tasmanian Minister, and his great, great uncle Thomas Hodgman served in the State’s Lower House at the turn of the century.
