CAREER: During the Administration of Gov. Robert P. Casey, Sen. Stack was Executive Deputy Director of the Pennsylvania Catastrophic Loss Fund. In 1988 at age 24, he was the youngest person ever to run for the state Senate. Sen. Stack comes from a family committed to public service. As an immigrant, his grandfather worked to become a U.S. Congressman and subsequently co-sponsored the first minimum wage and Social Security bills. Sen. Stack is a member of the Democratic State Committee and both of his parents have been active in public service for many years. Sen. Stack is an attorney. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Temple University, the Board of Trustees of the Holocaust Awareness Museum, the Board of Directors of Jewish Employment and Vocational Service of Delaware Valley (JVS), the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Flag Day Association, the Board of Directors of Self-Help Movement, Inc., and the Board of Directors of CORA Services, Inc. He is also a member of the Chilean & American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, the Daniel Boyle Chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Saint Katherine Drexel Knights of Columbus, and Shaare Shamayim Men's Club. Sen. Stack is a member of the Somerton Civic Association and Friends of Pennypack Park. He serves on the executive board of the Brehon Law Society and is a member of a Hearing Committee serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
