Info | Dutcher, the daughter of former U of M basketball coach Jim Dutcher, was the top vote-getter of any candidate for constitutional office when she was re-elected state auditor in 1998. She lists her principles as "economic growth that benefits every worker, public schools that prepare every child, protection of our environment for every generation, affordable health care for every person, and tolerance and inclusion of every Minnesotan."

In 1994, Dutcher made history when she became the first American woman to seek a statewide office while pregnant.
Judi Dutcher is President of Minnesota Community Foundation, a foundation that works with communities and individuals across the state to address local needs and issues. For more than 50 years, the Foundation has been supporting donors and communities in creating and fulfilling their visions through philanthropy.
Since joining the Foundation in January 2003, Judi has met with hundreds of Minnesotans statewide to hear their vision for the Foundation, their community and their state. "I want Minnesota to be a place where people can realize their full potential," she says.
Judi joined the Foundation after completing her second term as Minnesota State auditor. In that position, Judi served on the State Board of Investment, State Executive Council, Land Exchange Board, Rural Finance Authority Board, Minnesota Housing Finance Agency Board and Public Employees Retirement Association Board.
She also traveled the state, meeting with elected citizens, elected officials, reporters and various civic organizations to promote and advance the mission and work of the Office of the State Auditor.
Prior to her term as state auditor, Judi worked as an assistant city attorney for Minneapolis and as an associate with the firm of Lang, Pauly & Gregerson, Ltd.
In addition, Judi served as a referee in Hennepin County Conciliation Court.
Judi is a graduate of Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minn. and holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and political science and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota. She lives in Minnetonka with her husband Ed Hedblom and two sons.
