InfoDemocracy for a New Generation.

My name is Tim Hallett, and I am the Founder of The Modern Evolutionary Democracy Party (MEDP), a political party born out of the belief we can do so much better, and I am standing as a candidate in the Two Cities.

Our democracy is failing. It must be strengthened and improved if it is to survive.

We are proposing an innovative, sensible and realistic new model of government that takes the most successful, proven Proportional Representation systems from around the world and combines them with leading-edge political theory to create something new.

It keeps the institutions we already know - the Upper and Lower Houses of Government - but transforms them into something that works for, and is representative of, ordinary people.

Our system will end the stranglehold of politicians who operate from a single ideology; discourage unnecessary short-termism and encourage a longer-term, more strategic approach to today’s issues; promote policy-making by experts and ordinary people with impartial information; and place routine oversight of policy-making back into the hands of the British public.

I am standing in the Two Cities of London and Westminster: it's the heart of our democracy, and it's where all of this should begin. Our platform is truly original and, as far as we know, has never been offered in this form anywhere in the world.

It's the next evolution of democracy.

We exist for one reason only, and for only as long as it takes: to change government from the ground up. Because once that works as it should, everything else can follow.
