| Info | I’m Jessica Navarro. I was born in New York to Latino-American parents. I’ve lived in Faribault with my two children for eight years, and my family has been rooted in the area for over 15 years.
Years ago, I was an innocent passenger in a traumatic car accident. It left me so seriously disabled that I spent almost two years in a wheelchair and had to relearn how to do everything. I went from being right-handed to now a leftie. Since the accident, I have been learning and working hard to navigate life with a physical disability and rehabilitating myself as much as physically possible.
I am a program manager for a nonprofit. I support and connect families to local resources and services, working with clients in Faribault and across Rice County. I have a bachelor’s degree in social work from Minnesota State University/Mankato and am currently in a graduate program there. I believe in transparency, education, empowerment, and hard work.
