InfoJohn Carnan Anderson

A proud resident of Round Rock, I was raised in a small town in north Texas. I grew up understanding the importance of tradition, hard work, and service. My father, a dedicated large animal veterinarian and mom a college professor, were both constant examples of commitment to our community - deeply rooting my three siblings and I in the values of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church.

After completing my degree at Stephen F. Austin University, I embarked on a decade-long career in the oil and gas industry. This took me from the northern Permian Basin, southwest of Lubbock, to the Eagleford Shale near Carrizo Springs on the US-Mexico border, giving me perspective of the needs of hard working Texans and a first hand view of the border crisis. I personally witnessed the chaotic and dangerous environment on the border and many interactions between Border Patrol and the DPS in dealing with illegal migrants.

My life has been marked by a profound respect and love for firearms, a passion that reflects my dedication to responsibility, safety, and constitutional rights. This passion led me to pursue and be granted multiple patents related to firearms, with more in the works, and might eventually lead to a manufacturing business. Additionally, I’ve pursued an innovative path through the South Texas Coffee Initiative. This project was initially aimed at growing coffee in the LRGV of Texas but has since pivoted to utilizing it’s import permit to bring unique coffee species into the country from a research group in Costa Rica. We plan to donate plant materials in support of research at Texas A&M Agrilife Extension in Weslaco, TX, and to contribute to ofthe Amazon Sphere collection, hopefully among others.

Similarly aligned with the republican values of our current representative, John Carter, who’s nearing the end of his political career at age 82, I’m eager to bring a blend of tradition and innovative thinking to office. At 36, I offer a unique combination of youthful energy and drive, essential for representing our district effectively. My vision includes fostering economic growth, advocating for energy independence, upholding responsible firearm ownership, and promoting conservative values.

As I stand to represent our district, I invite you to join me in shaping a future that honors our nations rich traditions while boldly embracing progress and innovation. Your support is not just valued; it is essential. Together, we can make a significant impact, ensuring that our community remains a vibrant and prosperous place for all.
