InfoChris Panayiotou grew up in North Dallas, and still resides next to the elementary school he attended as a child. He was raised by his immigrant father and his paternal grandmother, until she suffered a stroke when Chris was in the fourth grade. His father was an entrepreneur, which left Chris alone often, making him a very responsible and self-sufficient child, and his solo flights to Las Vegas to visit his mother during long school breaks made him independent at a young age.

Chris graduated from Richardson High School, received his associates degree from Richland College (DCCCD), and then earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Texas (Denton), in journalism and political science. A commuter student, Chris held a full-time job all throughout school, which caused his college career to last far longer than the norm. This taught him perseverance, and tested his will, but he finally graduated in 2010.

A homeowner since 2001 and having spent his last 35 years in the same working-class neighborhood, Chris knows the struggles that North Texans face every day, and it has shown him the resilience of his neighbors and community. It has also inspired him to help make a better way for himself and others, and to run and be elected to his homeowner’s association board twice.

Chris has worked in the Workforce Management field much of his professional career but has also been a staple in the Dallas entertainment scene since 2005, most notably for his tenure as Editor-In-Chief of COSIGN Magazine since 2013. With this platform, he has put a spotlight on local creatives and entrepreneurs, again in the name of helping others, and has also been a part of putting on events benefiting a variety of charitable organizations. The next progression of giving back is to run for Congress.

Chris holds true to a populist, anti-establishment ideology of “Principles Over Party,” and strives to improve the lives of the people in his district and beyond by standing up to special interests and putting his community first. He believes that it’s time for the people to have someone representing them that has their interests at heart. With your help, we can begin to turn the tide in America, and make the country work for all its people, not just the top-earners.
