| Info | David has been very active in local civic affairs. He is immediate past president of the Nassau County Council of Chambers of Commerce, representing 50 chambers and more than 6,000 small businesses.
He headed the Committee for the Merrick Downtown Revitalization, working with state and local officials and agencies to design various components to complete the improvement of the downtown area.
He is a founding member and a continuing board member of the Bellmore-Merrick Community Wellness Council, an organization that helps various community, business and religious organizations prevent substance abuse and improve the quality of life for families and individuals.
David has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Merrick for 21 years, and is a distinguished past president of the group. He also served as division educational chairman and chairman of the New York District of the Kiwanis Club Officer Training Program.
He is a graduate of Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. David served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Air Force.
He and his wife, Carolyn, have three children, David Jr., Susan and Scott, and three grandchildren.
