| Info | Born and raised in East Kilbride, Grant was educated at Duncanrig Secondary School and at the University of Aberdeen.
He still lives and works in East Kilbride.Prior to working in politics, Grant worked as a youth worker, in multiple roles in the third sector and as an author.As a campaigner, Grant led the Love Equally campaign – which united organisations across Scotland in the campaign to legalise same-sex marriage. The campaign was a success when in February 2014, Scotland became the 17th country in the world to legalise same-sex marriage.Grant also successfully led the Votes At 16 campaign in Scotland, which secured 16- and 17-year-olds the right to vote in the Scottish Independence Referendum and in future Scottish Parliament and local elections.
