InfoThis is Representative Richardson’s third term in the Maine House of Representatives. He represents District 27, which includes Abbott, Beaver Cove, Bowerbank, Brownville, Greenville, Guilford, Monson, Parkman, Sebec, Shirley, Willimantic and Cambridge. In the 119th Legislature (1999-2000), he was a member of the Joint Standing Committee on State and Local Government. He currently serves on the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee.

Rep. Richardson received his degree in Accounting from Husson College. He was also in the United States Navy.

Rep. Richardson’s political career goes back to the 1950’s when he was elected town manager of Monroe and later town manager of Greenville, where he now lives. He was a selectman and assessor in Greenville for many years. Currently he is on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, the Greenville Airport Advisory Committee, the Economic Development Committee, the Moosehead Sanitary District and is a bank director of the Border Trust Company. Rep. Richardson is also treasurer of the Piscataquis County Republican Committee.

Along with his many community and legislative responsibilities, Rep. Richardson owns a restaurant in Greenville and the Moosehead Cable TV Company. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine.

Rep. Richardson and his wife, Avis, have four children.
