InfoJoan Bryant-Deschenes, Esq. is serving her second term representing House District 96, the Towns of Hebron, Minot and Turner. Rep. Bryant Deschense is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary.

Rep.Bryant-Deschenes, whose hometown is Turner, graduated from Central Maine General Hospital School of Radiological Technology (now Central Maine Medical Center) in 1966. During the seventeen years she worked in the field of Radiology, Rep. Bryant-Deschenes became certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology, with training in Ultrasound and Radiation Therapy. While employed at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Rep. Bryant-Deschenes became Chief of the Radiology Department and pursued an undergraduate degree.

In 2001 she graduated from the University of Maine School of Law and is now a member of the American Bar Association and the Maine Bar Association. She is also the owner of a convenience store, which she started in 1988 with her late husband. In her spare time, Rep. Bryant-Deschenes enjoys golf and spending time with her family.

She and her husband, Roger Deschenes, have six grown children and ten grandchildren.
