InfoJasper Jackson is the oldest of five children. He was born on the Southside of Chicago, where his parents still reside. He has been a hard worker since his early days, shoveling snow, cutting grass, and helping those in the neighborhood who needed help. Jasper moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and later settled in Compton.

Jasper graduated from high school in Chicago, went on to earn an AA in Paralegal, and later earned his BA in Sociology from Northern Illinois University. Jasper began his paralegal career in Chicago at a prominent law firm but was asked to relocate to Los Angeles to help launch the west coast operation of the prestigious law firm. He launched his own paralegal firm in 1999 and has run a successful small business for the last 24 years, employing many people from the Compton community.

Jasper, a lifelong Democrat, has served the Compton community for many years. First as a dedicated Block Club President for the Tajauta Block Club. He was later appointed by the Compton City Council as a Citywide Block Club Commissioner where he was elected President by his peers. Additionally, he has served as a youth sports coach in basketball and football. Jasper is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, 100 Black Men, Masonry Golden State Grand Lodge, and is an elected delegate of the California Democratic Party State Central Committee.

Jasper Jackson is a strong leader, a skilled problem-solver, and an inclusive consensus-builder who has worked for many years to build relationships between black and brown communities.
