Info | Ron Eller grew up in a working-class home, the son of a single-parent household in West Virginia. He married his childhood sweetheart and has been married for over 40 years. He and his wife, Dorie, have two sons. He and his family have been blessed to have lived the American Dream; the idea that anyone, through hard work, determination, and prayer can achieve their goals and dreams. Ron is committed to ensuring that every family has the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
Ron is an American patriot with twenty years of active duty military service. He retired as a Captain. Ron’s journey in public service started when he joined the Army as a “Combat Medic 91B.” During his early military career, he has always sought out ways to go above and beyond what he was asked to do; having served in many leadership roles from a Squad Leader, to Platoon Sergeant and as a Medical Officer. Ron was selected as Soldier of Year for U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), and Ft. Benning, GA. Ron was also selected as NCO of Year while stationed in Nuremberg, Germany and inducted into the SGT. Morales Club. In the late 80’s Ron transitioned from the enlisted ranks as a Sergeant First Class to a Warrant Officer and then eventually becoming a Commissioned Officer.
After retiring from the military, Ron and his family moved to the southeast. Eventually moving to Mississippi, Ron was integral in establishing the cardiac surgery program in Vicksburg, as well as performing some of the first endoscopic vein harvesting procedures done in the state. Ron continues to work in cardiac and thoracic surgery in one of the premier surgical programs in the state, at St. Dominic’s Hospital.
Ron also started his own business December 27, 2013, Buck Warrior Enterprises, LLC. As the founder and CEO of a manufacturing company starting from the ground up, Ron can appreciate the difficulties associated with business leadership. He believes we need more business opportunities in Mississippi with less government interference and red tape.
Ron feels he can not standby on the sidelines while career politicians seek to radically change the fabric of America with one-party rule. Hence, Ron feels called to continue to stand by the oath he took to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic. This is why he is running for Congress in the 2nd Congressional District of Mississippi.
