| Info | Juan Alanis started his career in public service on the day he turned 21. That’s when Juan pinned on a Stanislaus County Deputy Sheriff’s badge and dedicated his life to protecting Valley residents.
During his 27 years in the Sheriff’s Office, Juan served as Patrol Watch Commander, acting police chief, SWAT Team Member and School Resource Officer where he worked closely with the Stanislaus County Board of Education to provide direction active shooting scenarios and guidance on how to make schools safer.
Elected to the Assembly in 2022, Juan has used his law enforcement experience to craft legislation that will help keep us safe.
Juan is Vice Chair of the Agriculture and Public Safety Committees. He also serves on Labor and Employment; Military and Veteran Affairs; Business and Professions; Water, Parks and Wildlife and the Select Committee on Retail Theft.
Juan and his wife, Barbara, have raised three children and he is proud to called the Valley home.
