Info | Ely De La Cruz Ayao (EDCA) is an American of Filipino descent. He retired as a real estate and mortgage broker and a small business owner after serving the communities of District 6 for over 3 decades. He decided to re-activate his real estate license and renewed his membership with the real estate industry's trade associations to enable himself access to current pertinent data available exclusively to the California Department of Real Estate licensees, for practical reasons.
He has been married to Marilou Beltran-Ayao for 37 years now. They were high school classmates. Marilou worked as a Registered Nurse in Los Angeles for at least 40 years until her retirement in 2018.
EDCA's eldest son has recently retired from the United States military, while his two grandsons are currently in active service. EDCA is a dedicated member of his church and various civic organizations.
Clean Safe Neighborhoods, Quality Education, and Opportunities for Businesses to Prosper are the headlines of EDCA's plan for a better Los Angeles.
EDCA's broad knowledge and experience in real estate brokering and financing are valuable skills he gained that may be used as tools to help in building low-cost and affordable housing in Los Angeles offering solutions to the worsening homelessness problems today. He will promote joint ventures between the private and public sectors in developing and building much-needed housing by tapping existing government programs such as the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and the Housing Urban Development (HUD), among others, for sources of financing, instead of raising taxes that will add burden to Angelenos.
Ely De La Cruz Ayao is a strong family man who will stand steadfastly to uphold parental rights and foster quality education for our children.
As a former small business owner and operator, EDCA will author and will endeavor to pass ordinances that will give small businesses an environment to prosper.
Ely De La Cruz Ayao believes that now is the time to revitalize all the communities of Council District 6 by using the resources of the office to provide vital support and realistic opportunities for all.
