InfoTerry McCutcheon was nominated as the Ontario PC candidate for the riding of Algoma-Manitoulin on March 1, 2003.

Terry is a professional engineer who has operated a consulting engineering business on Manitoulin Island since 1991. He was born and raised on Manitoulin Island and graduated first in his class in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1983. After working several years in Toronto for two consulting engineering firms, Terry moved to Sudbury where he opened and managed a new branch office for a consulting engineering firm based in Toronto.

Terry has been involved in many community groups and organizations. He served for eight years on the Board of Trustees for the Manitoulin Health Centre that operates hospitals in Mindemoya and Little Current. He is a member of the local Grant Review Team for the Ontario Trillium Foundation. He was also on the Steering Committee that initiated the first school council for several years. He was a member of LAMBAC Vision Group that was created to develop strategic initiatives to foster economic development on Manitoulin Island and the North Shore.

He has participated on the executive of many community organizations including the Township of Central Manitoulin Committee on Hospital Issues, Mindemoya Curling Club, Men’s Golf League at Brookwood Brae Golf Course, Manitoulin Light Horse Club and the Manitoulin Secondary School Millennium Reunion committee. He is the past Chair of the Township of Carnarvon Economic Development Committee.

Terry and his wife Judy have three children: Meghan, Cailey, and Corey. They live in a stone house near Providence Bay that has been in his family since 1914.
