| Info | Bob attended Dalhousie University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts, Education and a Master of Arts. He is married with one son, 3 daughters, and 3 grandsons.
Bob was a Social Studies Teacher at Sidney Stephen High School and Sackville High School and headed the Social Studies Department. He retired in 1997.
He was elected to represent District 21 on Halifax County Council in 1989, 1991 and 1994. Bob was elected to represent District 20 on Halifax Regional Municipality council in 1995 and 2000 by acclamation. He served as chair of the Sackville Community Committee from 1991-92. Bob served as Deputy Mayor, Halifax Regional Municipality 2001-2 and Vice-Chair, Halifax Regional Board of Police Commissioners 2000-3.
Bob is a member of the Charitable Irish Society of Halifax where he served as president from 1975-6.
