Info | Neil Mather represents Canada ’s “Next Generation” rallying behind Paul Martin and his vision for our country.
Neil is a confident and energetic candidate who grew up in the riding, attended schools in the area and has the background and experience to provide Edmonton-Spruce Grove with a strong voice in Ottawa as your Member of Parliament.
Neil was the top political science student in his graduating year at the University of Alberta , where he received awards recognizing his leadership and community involvement. He went on to earn a law degree from the London School of Economics.
After completing his education in England , Neil moved to New York City and worked in the field of international banking for Merrill Lynch. After experiencing first-hand the dramatic events that occurred in Lower Manhattan on 9/11, Neil felt compelled to return to Canada in order to engage himself in the political process and make a difference.
Neil then relocated to Ottawa and took up a research position with a government relations firm where he gained tremendous insight into the federal government’s decision and policy-making process.
Armed with this wealth of experience and committed to representing his community in the House of Commons, Neil is very honoured to be your Liberal Candidate for Edmonton-Spruce Grove.
