InfoJurij Klufas, the eldest of an immigrant family of seven children, has spent much of his life growing up, living, raising a family, working, and volunteering in the Parkdale-High Park community.

Jurij studied Political Science in Rome, Italy, and speaks French, Ukrainian, Italian, and Spanish, as well as English. He is the founder and president of the annual Bloor West Village Ukrainian Festival, and a dedicated promoter of community events and activities.

A business owner and an executive in the television industry specializing in production and international syndication, Jurij has traveled around the world and gained a global perspective on the issues facing Canada. He has seen how strong values – such as respect for tradition and the family, honesty and integrity, and the importance of safe communities – can lead to social and economic success. He is dedicated to enshrining these values in Canada, to ensure a more peaceful, ecologically sound and economically prosperous future for our country and for our children.

Jurij is an energetic tennis player, avid swimmer, and loves World Cup Soccer. He and his wife, Evhenia, are the proud parents of four children, aged 8 to 21.
