| Info | Doug Perry has always believed that the government's job is to work for the people, so that it governs and creates situations that improve the lives of all citizens. After finishing high school Doug worked as a Teamster for two years before going to Langara Community College to study business management. After graduating he worked in several industries here and abroad then became a Yoga and Tai Chi instructor before embarking in his present career in holistic health, which started when he learned Shiatsu in 1988. After becoming a Doctor of Chinese Medicine in 1999 he continued his training and he now teaches seminars on several kinds of holistic healing, while continuing to treat clients. He has also started businesses which produce electronic equipment that is used in alterative health care.
In Doug's own words:
"I have been a part time single parent for seven years which has afforded me the opportunity to take a close look at where our society is going and has given me some perspective on what the future may look like. I chose to enter politics with the Green Party to help steer the course of our country to a truly sustainable way of life that we can all enjoy."
