| Info | Carmen Bucco, a ten year resident of Union County is running for County Commissioner. Union County needs a leader with vision for stability and sustainability. Carmen believes integrity, determination and dedication are essential for a candidate to successfully serve their community in local government.
Carmen understands just how important providing a safe, opportunity-driven community is for children. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Carmen was forced to grow up within the foster care system. During the many years he spent in foster care, Carmen became very aware of the flaws and dark side of the system. Thankfully, he did not allow his adversity to dictate who he might have become. Instead, Carmen graduated from Nutley High School and eventually moved to Belleville, New Jersey where he became part of the community. Carmen sat on the school board and initiated high-level security as well as school uniforms for the district. He knew that children needed a safe environment and to be proud of their participation in the school system. Carmen believes in community, and because of that belief he has joined organizations that reflect his convictions, being an active member of Unico National as well as the Rotary.
