InfoAllyce Herle was born in the farming community of Prelate, Saskatchewan where her grandparents had been homesteaders in the area. Her family moved to Regina when she was a young teenager. She received her education from the University of Regina, earning her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work

Ms. Herles professional experience started at the City of Regina where she worked for 14 years. As Manager of Community Development and Manager of Social Development, she has worked with all inner-city community associations including those, which are represented in the riding of Regina-QuAppelle North Central, North Highland and Eastview. Her responsibilities for inner city revitalization and for social development initiatives also included working with numerous urban Aboriginal organizations and a number of Mayors Task Forces including the Board of Inquiry into Hunger, the Task Force on Womens Issues, the Task Force on Indian and Metis Initiatives and the Task Force on Accessibility.

For the last nine years, Ms. Herle has been self-employed, working on a contractual basis as a Mental Health Therapist, which also involves facilitating community development, for First Nations in the Regina-QuAppelle riding. Currently she is working for the Okanese and Pasqua First Nations. She has also worked for the Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation, the Peepeekisis First Nation and the File Hills Agency.

This experience working at a senior management level and assisting community groups and individuals with their issues make her well qualified to represent the citizens in Regina QuAppelle.

Her commitment to her community extends to her volunteer activities. Ms. Herle is presently Saskatchewans representative on the National Council of Welfare (on leave of absence), a founding Board member of Sawanohk-Nanatawi-Yotin (an organization desiring to provide supportive housing to persons with mental illness), a member of Namerind Housing Corporation.

She is Past President of the Regina and District Food Bank (having been on the Board of the Food Bank for the last 16 years), Past Vice-Chair of Community Services for the United Way of Regina, past Board member representing Saskatchewan on the Canadian Association of Housing and Renewal Officials and has been a parent volunteer supporting her childrens activities and interests.

Allyce Herle has two children daughter Lindsay (19) and son Justin (22) and shares her life with partner Blaine Pinay.
