Info1938 - Ed Vanwoudenberg was born in the Dutch village of Vleuten. He is one of seven children

1966 - Ed married Audrey Dewit in Carman, Manitoba. They have three children.

Mr. Vanwoudenberg has a wide scope of aptitudes and skills. He has been self-employed most of his life. His successful business endeavors include manufacturing, construction, photography and multi-medium productions. He has a marketing diploma and a certificate in Construction Management. Mr. Vanwoudenberg has served as a director for several companies. Ed has served his church in many capacities, as a youth leader, elder and bible camp chaplain. Ed and Audrey presently live in Hope BC, and enjoy active retirement. Both Ed and Audrey are actively involved in the affairs of their community. The couple is motivated by a deep love for God, country and their fellow man. Many hours are allocated as volunteers in prison ministry. Politically, Ed has never ceased to tell others that it is the responsibility of every Christian to serve Christ in the public arena. He is a founding member of the CHP and served as its first leader from 1985 till 1990. Currently Ed is the CHP, Provincial President and serves as a policy advisor to the Leader. Mr. Vanwoudenberg has stood as a CHP candidate in every Federal election since 1988.
