InfoAnn has lived in the third congressional distrct for 44 years, since moving to Springdale from Oklahoma. She received three degrees from the University of Arkansas: a Bachelor of Arts (1961), a Masters of Arts (1964) and a Juris Doctorate (1971).
Family: In 1964 Ann married Dr. Morriss Henry, a Fayetteville opthalmologist and a former state legistator (1967-85). The Henrys have three married children: Dr. Paul Henry, 31, an opthalmologist in Little Rock and father of grandson Andrew Henry; Dr. Katherine Henry Baltz, 30, also an opthalmologist in Little Rock; and Mary Henry, 27, a third year law student at the University of Arkansas.
Hobbies: She enjoys reading, needlepoint, sailing, tennis and raising dogs (including an English setter and a black lab).

Work Experience:
Ann worked her way through highschool and college in jobs ranging from a waitress at AQ Chickenhouse to a double stint as a night secretary at a chicken processing plant and a day secretary at a grape juice manufacturing plant.
Teaching: After receiving her Bachelor's degree, she began teaching in junior high and high school. In 1976, she joined the U of A College of Business Administration as a business law teacher and continues today as an associate professor. She has taken unpaid leave to run for Congress.
Administration: She has served as an assistant dean of the College of Business (1984-86) and as associate dean (1986-89).

Community Leadership and Service:
Ann has served her community as a Girl and Boy Scout leader, PTA president and Methodist Church Sunday School teacher and choir member. Her political work has included chairing the Washington County Democratic Committee, chairing Senator Pryor's campaign in Washington County and working on President Clinton's national election campaign staff in 1992.

Public Leadership and Service:
Ann served seven years as a member of the Fayetteville City Board of Directors (1977-82; 1990-92). She has served on the State Board of Education, the Governor's Commission on the Status of Women, the Local Services Advisory Board and the Arkansas Teacher Evaluation, Certification and Education Committee. She was elected University Faculty Chair (1989-90) and chaired the Campus Council (1990-91).
