| Info | Janine has studied Psychology and English at the University of Winnipeg, as well as Family Studies at the University of Manitoba.
Janine has been working as an independent organic inspector for 11 years, continuing a 28 year career in adult education. Janine is currently serving as the National President of Canadian Organic Growers (COG), whereby she represents the family farms and gardens of the membership of COG on the Organic Regulatory Committee as well as in designing a fair Regulation for Organic Agriculture in Canada, in conjunction with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
Janine also teaches organic inspection internationally through her work with the Independent Organic Inspectors Association, and facilitates workshops on more sustainable agriculture at conferences and universities across North America. She was recently chosen to represent Canada at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development organic workshop in Washington, D. C.
Janine lives in a solar and wind-powered village, Northern Sun Farm Cooperative in the south east corner of Manitoba, and is a parent and grandparent.
