InfoLeonard Roberto is a life long resident of Western New York. In 1973 he joined the United States Navy and served six years as an Electronics Technician aboard the USS Benjamin Stoddert (DDG-22) during Vietnam and as a member of the commissioning crew of the USS Texas (CGN-39).

In 1979, following his military service, Leonard Roberto began a 32 year career in manufacturing, first as a technician for a local machine tool company, and for the past 22 years as founder and president of Batavia Enclosures, a company which specializes in the manufacturing of precision sheet metal products.

While working in the manufacturing field, Leonard Roberto attended Elohim Bible Institute in Castile, New York from which he graduated in 1988 and was ordained in 1991. For the next 18 years he served as interim pastor for local Baptist Churches in addition to operating his own business.

Leonard Roberto is also founder and chairman of Primary Challenge, a non partisan political organization dedicated to teaching individuals how to participate in the political process and bring about much needed reform in New York.

Leonard Roberto and his wife of 33 years have raised 3 sons, and have 4 grandchildren.
