| Info | Elizabeth Burns began her career in South Florida as an Account Analyst; she later became the Data Processing Manager & Systems Security Officer, consecutively, at two leading International Banks in South Florida. She held one of those positions for over 10 years. She is privileged to have been the first Jamaican and the first female to be employed by those leading International Banks at that time.
Subsequently she became an entrepreneur and started her own business, providing excellent and impeccable service as a premier event planner/producer caterer and decorator for weddings, corporate events, banquets and other such events.
Elizabeth is the producer of two annual community events in recognition of National Caribbean American Heritage Month. They are, the Caribbean American Exhibition and Festival a cultural event which showcases many local, talented artistes which has led them to booking opportunities, in addition the event provides a platform for several small and midsize businesses to showcase their products and services. She also produces the Caribbean American Heritage Month Awards, this event recognizes individuals with Caribbean roots from the Caribbean Community and a spin-off to that event is the Friends of the Caribbean Award, which is presented to American Individuals and companies who have supported and impacted the Caribbean American Community. Additionally she produces the “Expressions” Caribbean American Magazine, a printed publication with an online presence. A former producer of the Caribbean American Connection, a monthly networking group that engages businesses and entrepreneurs. Elizabeth has received numerous proclamations and messages from State, County, & City Officials.
