Info | Carl was a graduate of Central High School, He attended the University of Colorado and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received the Juris Doctor Law Degree at Denver University. He returned to Pueblo to practice law for 50 years.
During WWII, Carl served his country in the U.S. Army as a Tec 4 from 1942 to 1945 in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He was the recipient of the European/African/Middle Eastern Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Meritorious Service Unit Plaque with one star.
Carl served as Pueblo assistant district attorney and Pueblo district attorney for 16 years. He continued his private practice until he retired in 1996.
Carl was an active member in the Democratic Party and served many years as committee chairman of the Democratic Party Precinct No. 46.
In 1984, he was recognized for 39 years of successful practice of the law by the Pueblo County Bar Association. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association.
Carl was a life member of the Elk's Fraternal Organization Lodge No. 90 and the Protective Lodge of the Columbian Federation No. 222. Carl was the past president of the International Footprint Association Chapter No. 22.
