Info | Born in raised in Clio, Michigan Commissioner Cousineau graduated from Clio High School in 1971 and pursued his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University. He then graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1976 and has been in private practice in Clio as a chiropractor since 1977. Commissioner Cousineau started his political career as the City of Clio BDA Chair and Vice-Chair. He was elected as Thetford Township Trustee from 2012-2014, then elected as Genesee County Commissioner for district 7 in January of 2017. He has served on many committees such as, Public Works Committee, Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee, Chair of the Planning Board, and most recently the Chairman of the Genesee County Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Cousineau is married to his wife Janet of 32 years and had 3 sons all of which went to Flushing schools. His eldest, Eric lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico pursuing a career in Fine Arts. His youngest son, Tyler serves in the United States Army stationed in Anchorage Alaska. Commissioner Cousineau is a proud grandfather of two and spends his free time tending to his alpaca farm and many orchards at his home in Mt. Morris Township.
