| Info | Oskar N. Anderson was a prominent businessman in Denver in the early 20th century. He was born in Sweden and was an apprentice to a brewer there. He came to Denver at eighteen and secured a position at a brewery. In 1894, he started a successful coal and feed business with his brother that he continued on his own after his brother’s death in 1916. Anderson was not politically active when he was younger but was always interested the progress and improvement of his community. He became a member of the Denver City Council in his later years.
