InfoFormer Labour MP (1974F-1983 Ormskirk, Lancs, 1983-1987 Knowlsley North, Merseyside), presenter of a longrunning trash TV chatshow on BBC1 ("Kilroy") until fired following [alledgedly] racist remarks in a Daily Express column.
Joined UKIP in Spring 2004, elected as UKIP MEP for the East Midlands region in the 2004 European Elections. Attempted to become leader of UKIP. Failed. Left UKIP to form his own party "Veritas". Stood in the 2005 General Election for Erewash, Derbyshire and was defeated, barely winning back his deposit. Appears to have since left Veritas. Remains an MEP.
