| Info | My family emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s and settled here in Adams County, Colorado, where they have resided ever since. I am a lifelong Adams County resident and the youngest of four children (I have three older brothers). My husband and I reside in Brighton, with our two children, ages 9 and 6.
I obtained my Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, where I studied biology, chemistry, and English writing. I completed four years of extensive clinical training in Forensics with faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. I am experienced in Medicolegal Death Investigation and as a Forensic Pathology Department Director. I have completed the human dissection in over 1000 autopsies; spanning every manner (natural, accident, suicide, homicide, and undetermined) of death. I am trained in forensic evidence collection and have collected the forensic evidence, for court proceedings, in numerous homicide and criminal cases. I have been trained in county administrative programs, such as those used to manage department budget and finance. I have also been trained in death certificate completion by the Colorado Department of Vital Records and Statistics. I am a member of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners. Seeking the office of Adams County Coroner appears to be the next logical step in my journey. I am endorsed by Adams County District Attorney, Don Quick and Adams County Sheriff, Doug Darr.
The forensic field is one of my passions. I developed an interest in human science at an early age. I enjoy working in organizations that provide a vital public service to the community. I have a strong desire to serve in this capacity, and to improve the Adams County Coroner's Office. I can utilize my education, training, and experience to serve the citizens of Adams County with integrity, competence, and compassion. I hope to earn your support.
