Info | Served on the Logan County Board of Commissioners 1933-1940 and 1960-1968.
He defeated S.A. Richardson in 1932 and remained a member of the commissioners until T.J. Crichton defeated him in the 1940 election.
In 1960, he was elected to the Board of Commissioners, defeating Republican incumbent H.E. "Hap" Williams.
Mr. Rieke completed his political service to Logan County in 1968 after announcing his decision not to seek re-election and was succeeded by Republican George Korrey.
When first elected as a County Commissioner in 1932, Mr. Rieke was the youngest person to be chosen to the office. When he ran in the 1960 election, he was the oldest Commissioner candidate to be successful.
