| Info | Marques has been a voice for those with chronic illnesses and disabilities for the past decade. As Chair of the Government Relations Advisory Committee for the Virginia Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, he led the society's volunteer efforts to champion Medicaid Expansion in Virginia. Recognizing his passion for improving lives, Marques was appointed by Governor Terry McAuliffe to the board of Virginia’s Assistive Technology Loan Fund Authority (ATLFA). The ATLFA provides affordable financing alternatives to help make adaptive equipment a possibility for individuals who might not otherwise be eligible for borrowing.
Professionally, after graduating from Marshall University with a degree in Integrated Science & Technology, Marques became a software engineer. Progressing thru the ranks from software engineering to process engineering and project management at a top five bank, Marques learned the importance of talented people working together and how that produces amazing results for stakeholders.
In 2017 Marques looked to meld his love for advocacy and desire to have a positive impact on his community with his business background by acquiring a non-medical home care business. Everyday he and his team endeavor to provide the caregiving resources needed by seniors to age in place and live their best lives possible.
Marques lives in the Tuckahoe Magisterial District on the west end of Henrico with his wife Jessica and his three daughters, K’Leigh, Zoey and Ainsley. When he’s not developing his business or advocating at the general assembly, you’ll most likely find Marques cheering on his Marshall University Thundering Herd!
