| Info | Jeanine Lawson has lived in western Prince William County since 1995, where she and her husband Dan raised their two children. Since 2014, Jeanine serves on the Board of County Supervisors representing the Brentsville District where she has been re-elected twice. The district is one of the fastest-growing districts that has significant development pressures and infrastructure needs. She is most known for upholding Smart Growth Principles and preserving the rural area of Prince William County. Jeanine also serves as Vice-Chair of the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Operations Board and Chairman of the Innovation Owner’s Association Board of Directors.
During her time in office, Jeanine has fought to keep taxes low, support public safety agencies and manage growth. Jeanine has made it a priority to support the business community and oppose costly tax hikes while providing high-quality services to taxpayers. She will oppose efforts to confiscate guns from law abiding gun owners. Virginians have seen Democrats in Richmond pass laws that make responsible gun owners criminals. She will oppose restrictions on the second amendment and stand up for the constitution.
Virginia’s 10th Congressional District deserves a champion for the people. A leader who has a record of bringing people together rather than a record of division and deeply partisan politics. Jeanine is running for Congress because she thinks we deserve better representation. She will bring common sense leadership back to Washington DC.
Jeanine grew up in small-town Iowa and was active in sports year-round. Her favorite sport was basketball earning statewide recognition her junior and senior years. In the summer of 1988, she was honored to represent her home state competing on a European tour. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1992 and soon after, Jeanine and Dan moved to Northern Virginia where the jobs were. As a proud Virginian, she is still moved by the beautiful scenery and historical landscape of our Commonwealth of Virginia. Jeanine lives in Gainesville with her husband and son. She’s a member of Grace Life Community Church, still enjoys sports, and is an animal lover.
