| Info | Founded Pundmann & Co. Inc. in 1984, and now serves as its president and chief investment officer. This is a private investment banking firm that provides advice to companies on matters concerning corporate financing, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions. But the firm does more than dispense advice, matching its own risk capital and the funds of other investors with companies seeking venture capital and private financing as well as managing investment portfolios for clients.
In New York, worked as a securities analyst at TIAA-CREF where he handled stock investments. Also in New York, he served as an investment account executive, responsible for investment management of discretionary accounts for Reynolds Securities Inc., which eventually became a part of Morgan Stanley. He also was an investment manager for two other Wall Street investment companies. Pundmann also worked at ConAgra where he headed the strategic planning department.
Founded and served as the first president of the St. Louis chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, a group of business men and women, attorneys, financiers and other professionals involved in mergers and acquisitions and corporate growth in general. He subsequently was elected to the ACG's International Board of Directors, a network with more than 3,700 members.
Earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, and an MBA degree in Finance from New York University, one of the top business graduate schools in the world as ranked by publications such as the British Financial Times newspaper and Business Week magazine. While at NYU, Pundmann was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary business fraternity. In 1972 he authored a paper on international investments for Harvard University.
Received an FAA pilot license and owns a Beechcraft Bonanza F33A aircraft. Will served as a member of the St. Charles County Aviation Committee. He also is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Charles, and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, a designation recognizing a member's contributions to the Rotary's charitable and educational foundation.
Pundmann and his wife, Irene, live in St. Charles, MO, and are the parents of infant triplets: daughters Catherine and Elizabeth and son William. He also has an older daughter, Margaret, who works for SEI Investments in the Philadelphia area.
While working in New York City, Pundmann chaired a fund-raising party for U.S. Senator James Buckley (R-New York), a brother of noted author and political commentator, William Buckley.
