| Info | Nathan is a born and raised Michigander I grew up in in Reed City, a small town about an hour North of Grand Rapids. Nathan went to college at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and 2 associates degrees, one in Business and one in Building Trades Management. While at college Nathan and his wife Amanda started their family very early. When Nathan was 18 years old they had their first son Ayden (now 14 years old), followed by Charlie (13), Emma (11) and Ella (6).
Nathan paid his way through college by working 2-3 jobs at a time until he started a small contracting business and was able to support his family through that job alone. After college graduation Nathan worked across the country as a superintendent and project manager for large industrial and mining construction projects. In 2013 Nathan was able to move back to Michigan and the Hewers have lived in Cannonsburg Township between Grand Rapids and Rockford for the last 5 years. Nathan now works for Meijer in their corporate office managing construction and Amanda works for Chemical Bank and their 4 children all attend Rockford Public Schools.
