| Info | Before his success as second-generation owner and manager of the Santa Clause House in North Pole, Alaska, and CEO of SCH Corporation, Mike Miller graduated from Monroe High School in 1970 and attended the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. He served proudly in the Air National Guard of Alaska before being elected to his first political office in 1976 as North Pole City Councilman until 1980. In 1983, Miller was elected to Alaska's House of Representatives. Miller was elected to the state senate in 1992 where he later served as Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee and Chairman of the Senate Resources Committee. His career culminated in his appointment as President of the Senate of the State of Alaska until 1998. In 2003, he was appointed by Governor Frank Murkowski as his Commissioner of the Department of Administration.
