Info | Our friend, colleague and neighbor David Pomerantz has fought for the rights of Ohio workers, consumers, and persons with disabilities for the past 18 years. He was born and raised right here in the Cleveland area. He graduated from Orange High School, the University of Michigan, and the Ohio State College of Law, where he made law review, won awards in moot court competition and the American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the law school newspaper. He has been a practicing attorney since 1985, and is a small-business owner. His lovely wife Leslie and he have three beautiful children, Amanda, Brian and Cory, who all attend Solon public schools, where Leslie also works. His family also has long belonged to Fairmount Temple. During summer evenings, Dave can usually be found on the Solon baseball fields, where he has been a long-time little league coach.
Over the years Dave has been extremely active in several bar associations, including his work as Editor-in-Chief of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association Magazine. He has worked tirelessly for many community-service organizations, including the National Legislative Committee of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, the Board of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the National Head Injury Foundation, and as a Young Leader of Cleveland's Jewish Welfare.
Dave has spoken about the law on television, radio, and at numerous educational seminars, and is a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which recognizes attorneys who have obtained verdicts and settlements of $1 million or more for their clients. He is also a volunteer for Lawyers Who Care, which helps obtain compensation, without fee, for victims of September 11th and their families.
In his spare time, Dave is an avid bicyclist, who has twice completed the 150 mile "Pedal to the Point" to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and has participated in the "Tour for the Cure" to benefit diabetes research, and in the grueling "Tour Along the Southern Shore of Lake Erie (TASSLE)."
