Debi's nomination will ensure that the Gross-Durham ticket will be THE economic development ticket. Her leadership as the President of the Siouxland Chamber has brought her local and statewide recognition for innovations in public/private partnerships. As Chamber President, Debi has been instrumental in helping the Siouxland region grow and prosper.
In addition to serving the Siouxland Chamber, Debi has devoted time and talent to the Iowa Workforce Development Regional Board, the Orpheum Theatre Preservation Project, and local school projects. Prior to her service in Sioux City, Debi did economic development work and was an account executive for a magazine in the Joplin, Missouri area.
On a family and personal level, Debi and her husband, Joel, enjoy a tight-knit relationship with their kids. They are active members of Central Baptist Church in Sioux City, where Debi teaches a college bible study class, and both Beau and Jordan have been active in mission trips.
